NOREEN (SALTVEIT) McGRAW

Practice Experience:

Ms. McGraw has been practicing law since 1956.  She began her practice with her father and brother, Kelly & Kelly in Medford, in work involving primarily litigation.  After moving to Portland, she served as an Assistant Attorney General litigating workers’ compensation cases around the state for five years.  She then practiced as an associate or partner in several Portland law firms, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in the areas of employment and labor, personal injury, products liability, probate and civil rights.  Currently, she is a sole practitioner, working primarily as a mediator and arbitrator, although she maintains a small private practice.

 

Ms. McGraw served as a Circuit Court Pro Tem Judge from 1992 through 2000, and as District Court Pro Tem Judge from 1972 through 1976.  She also served as a Municipal judge in Medford, Oregon for two years.

 

She has been extensively selected as a private arbitrator and mediator.

 

Professional Activities:

Ms. McGraw is a member of the Oregon State Bar, having served on its Board of Bar Governors and the Multnomah Bar Association Executive Committee, also served as delegate to the American Bar Association (2000 to 2002).   She has been a member of many Oregon State Bar committees; was on the Board of Directors for OWLS (Oregon Women Lawyers) 1992 to 1995 and Chair of the Continuing Legal Education committee from 1982 to 1983.  She is currently a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section and the Labor & Employment Section – and has served on their executive committees.

 

Ms. McGraw received the President’s Membership Service Award from the Oregon State Bar in 1990, the MBA Professionalism Award in 1995, the OSB Award of Merit in 1995, the University of Oregon Law School’s Meritorious Service Award in 1996, and the Douglas Doughtry Award of Merit, Workers Compensation Section, OSB.
